THE 3REE

I decided to put together a collection of work for 2009. I wanted to start cataloging some of my work for reference / laughs (I’m never satisfied and usually end up looking back at my work and cringing!) Not a for sale piece just my own personal history. The work is both a blend of clients, explorations and some fooling around. I have 72 Type treatments, 13 illustrations and a bunch of apparel graphics. You can see the entire spread here.

I have been exploring all types of new styles lately with vector illustrations. Most of them you can see here. This is one I was playing with a couple of days ago. To be honest it fell far short of the idea I had in mind (it’s actually only about 75% done here) but was an excellent learning experience. My plan is to accomplish several illustrations per month until I feel like I have found my rhythm and voice.

I have received several emails in regards to the release of new stock art and fonts. First off I just wanted to thank everyone who has purchased as well as those who assist with getting it all up and ready. Second thing is you need to trust me when I say the wait will be worth it. I have several new fonts as well as stock art coming soon that I have been working well into the a.m. to ensure I deliver only the highest level of products. So I have been hard at work building pages and pages of vector. My goal is to offer the standard pages of what I call “second stage” pieces (these are the fillers everyone uses to assist the design) as well as main focal points. Most of the vector illustrations or stock art I see out in the market are poorly executed and over priced. My intention is to offer the high end vector pieces like skulls, lions, eagles etc. That any designer can use as the main focal point. Most of the illustrations take about three to five hours to complete and are loaded with detail. I plan to launch the store in the next weeks as I finish up some custom fonts and other vector illustrations that I want to offer so check back soon.

So I have been working on some high end vector art that will eventually be for sale in the shop. All together I have about 10 illustrations done and thought I would post one to give you a look and get some feedback. Not sure all the illustrations will make it to the shop though. I want to hold some back for large pieces I am also doing and will sell as posters.
