I have been exploring all types of new styles lately with vector illustrations. Most of them you can see here. This is one I was playing with a couple of days ago. To be honest it fell far short of the idea I had in mind (it’s actually only about 75% done here) but was an excellent learning experience. My plan is to accomplish several illustrations per month until I feel like I have found my rhythm and voice.
What’s new… I’ve worked on a variety of clients in the past month. From band merch, custom fonts, custom illustrations, some custom lettering for my friends out west etc etc etc. All in all it’s been an interesting couple of weeks. Above is a little glimpse in to the “LAB”. I have decided to cut back to just a few clients and start the process of re branding both the company and the direction I want to take it in. If you know me you know the plan is to design in and around the extreme sports arena. Setting monthly goals and refining skillz!
The move to cut back on clients is also strategic in giving me more time to develop custom fonts and custom illustrations for sale in the shop. Keep an eye out as I have several new updates already done and ready to launch!

So I was explaining my last vector illustration to a friend and he commented it was hard to see any detail based on the size graphic I posted. I explained that I was still working on it and the detail was taking me close to 3 hours so his response was… “post some detail”
In the future I will ensure that all my posts showcase the art a bit better. I am in the process of finishing up some other vector illustrations (Tiger, Snake and an Eagle) Stay tuned!
